Okorocha to Establish Free University

President of the Rochas Foundation and Governor of Imo State Rochas Okorocha has disclosed that he would establish a conventional university where everything would be free as obtainable in the five Rochas secondary schools across the country.
Director General of the foundation and daughter of the governor, Ms Uloma Rochas Okorocha made the disclosure yesterday in Abuja as part of activities marking the 10th anniversary of the schools and the governor's 50th birthday.

She said the organization has launched a manhunt for suspected fraudsters believed to have been involved in illegal sale of entry application forms provided free by the foundation for the various schools in its fold.
"The university which would only be for students from poor family background would have a touch that would compete favourably with other universities in the world. The foundation of the university which is being sited at Ogboko, Imo State, had already been laid by the president of the organization and Imo Governor Chief Rochas Okorocha," she said.
She added that the foundation recently uncovered irregularities in the sale of entry application forms in its five colleges, especially in its Ibadan centre.
The foundation runs five free colleges in Kano, Jos, Ibadan, and Ogboko and Owerri, both in Imo State.
